An opportunity to network with the movers and shakers of Denver, the Visions of the City dinner has been held in July for more than 15 years to support the League of Women Voters of Denver Education Fund, a 501(c)3, tax deductible organization. The mayor of Denver, occasionally with another speaker, shares a vision for Denver and then answers challenging questions from the audience.
Before dinner, guests have time to meet and mingle with city council members, members of the mayor’s staff, important business and nonprofit leaders, and League members. The League recognizes community leaders with its Spirit of Denver award for their contributions to Denver.
The Visions of the City dinner became a non-event fundraiser in 2009 but will recur in 2010. Look for details next year. The public is welcome.
