April Briefing

Join us for an active discussion on "What We Can Do Now" with representatives from local advocacy and civil rights organizations, including Common Cause, Colorado Center on Law and Policy, the ACLU and the LWV Colorado. They will share the approaches they are taking and we will share among ourselves ideas for advocacy and action for Leaguers.
Let's emphasize the value of community, gather the encouragement that comes from sharing ideas, and confirm we are not alone or isolated!

Board Elections
As we look at the upcoming election that members will vote on at the annual meeting, there is both some excellent news and some important roles that remain unfilled at this late date. We are delighted that we have recruited (mostly Cassie Bishop’s work) three excellent new candidates for the Board: Anais Salcido, Mariam Boricius, and Mary Jefferson. We are thinking they will bring new energy and ideas to this Board.
At the same time, Marty Sloven has decided that 30 years on the Board is sufficient for her; so we need to find a Secretary to take and report the minutes of the Board meetings. If any member of the League is interested in this position or any of the other positions listed as vacant below, please contact Frank Bennett at 303-757-2930 or at FrankBennett65@gmail.com.
