The League of Women Voters of Colorado and the League of Women Voters of Denver will co-host a candidate forum for Colorado's 1st Congressional District on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be held at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia St., Denver.

The forum gives voters the opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking the Democratic nomination ahead of Colorado's State Primary Election on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Candidates invited to participate include:

Melat Kiros
Diana DeGette  (incumbent)
Wanda James
Christy Peterson 

The forum is free and open to all members of the public. Questions for the candidates will be submitted by League members, including our Youth Council. 

The event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Colorado and the League of Women Voters of Denver. El Seminario is serving as media sponsor.
